Too tired to Post

Been away for awhile because I've been basically to weak to quilt and too tired to post.
I had a flare up Myasthenia gravis and as usual it whipped my butt.
I'm better now and back to quilting and posting.

I did this one for Diane before I got weak:

It has lots of hearts!

I managed to get this one basted with help from my friends while I was feeling down.
This one is queen size and is for Nancy:

I've quilting on this for a week now and I'm down to the next to the last border!!
(Whew!)

It has flowers in the four patches, curlicues in the sashing, and feathers in 2 of the 3 borders.

I have plenty of quilts to do so I'll be posting a lot.

Happy quilting!

Another Finish

Here's a memorial quilt I quilted for Gloria:

This closeup of the middle really shows up the quilting.
(I have no idea why this photo showed up the quilting so much better than the rest but this is the way I wish all my pictures would look!!)

This is the border:

Another Quilt Started

Well, here's the next quilt and it belongs to Sue.

It is beautifully needle turned applique and a joy to quilt.
Hope to get it finished in a couple of days.
Then I'll be on to the one I basted yesterday.
It is only 111" by 103".
So I'm the busy quilter these days.

Will get to work on the Oklahoma Dugout for my  brother again tomorrow and hope to get it ready to at least sew on the borders.

Happy Quilting!

Done

Finished the Snowball/Four patch this morning

Here's the back.
You can see how the design makes a secondary design as it repeats across the quilt

Now I need to tell you about my sweet doggie, Dusty.
two weeks ago we were playing fetch and I accidentally poked him in the eye with my finger.
I took him to the vet on Monday and started him on pain pills and antibiotics drops immediately.
It healed a little the first week and then the second week it just got worse.

It actually looks better today than it did yesterday!!
I feel awful that it is my fault!

You can't even wee his beautiful blue eye!
He has a ulcerated cornea and will probably have surgery later this week to scrap the surface to debride it.
He needs your prayers!
Thank you

Finished the Chenille quilt.  I think it turned out cute but it is really heavy!  You can see all the different kinds of fabrics and textures that a  baby can get her hands into to feel.  The next picture just shows the back of the quilt which is plain old old fashioned chenille.
This turned out to be doable but I wouldn't recommend it as a cuddly soft quilt.  It turned out very heavy, not cuddly.  But that is what the customer wanted.

Keep on quilting and your quilting will get better every day.

Finally Finished

Finally Finished the Sunshine and Shadows
Log Cabin and it is nothing but feathers!

Here's a closer image of the dark area.
You'll have to click on the pic to see the quilting.

And this last pic is a closeup of a detail on the wreath over the dark area.
I'm really glad to be finished because I really quilted my butt bigger on this one!

Happy quilting!

Ta dah!!

Finished the circles!
In this first picture, you can see some of the body of the quilt
and all of the colors.
the quilting shows up well too.
It ended up looking like hot air balloons.
That's one of the things I like most about quilting.
The secret designs that come out by happenstance.
I planned circles in circles.
What happened ended up to be
ovals in circles and then they looked like
hot air balloons.
Who knew?

This next picture shows the border.
You can see that I repeated the ovals in the wide rectangle and the double wavy line in the skinny one.

And at last, the back.
Usually what everybody is anxious to see.
Most of my customers put solid backs on there quilts so they can see the quilting.
I used Star "gum balls" variegated thread on the front and a star golden yellow on the back.
IIIt has been nearly half a year that I have been blogging and I have to admit that I really enjoy this.
I appreciate everybody that comes and reads these posts, whoever you are.
I hope you all have good health and many happy quilting experiences in the coming years.
