An even Bigger TaDah

Today I finished my brother's quilt top!!

Two years of collecting the Daiwabo fabric,

a year and a half of piecing and today I finished the piecing. 

Doing the happy dance here!!!

I still have to squeeze the quilting in between the 18 customers quilts I still have to do, but I'm feeling good about this.

Here is one I did yesterday, note my helper:

backing fabric with girl scout badges on it.

It's finally done!!!!!

I couldn't photograph it outside because it has

been raining (yea!) and I didn't want to soil it.

This is one fourth of it.

hopefully you can see the quilting when you click on it.

The fabric is actually white, but I darkened the pic a little so you could see it a little better.

I'm still here and I'm still quilting!!!!

I hope you can tell something about this quilt.

I'm sure you can see that there is a lot of it!!

It has 36 18 inch blocks and I've quilted 20 of them.

That's more that half!!

I'm sure what you can't see (well maybe if you click and it let's you enlarge the pic),

they used 3 0r 4 strands of embroidery floss so while I'm cross hatching through the big cross stitching I have to go very slowly of my thread shreds.

I've got about a fourth of the sashing done.

Just wanted to let know

I have a new customer, Judy, who brought me this quilt:

all hand embroidered blocks she rescued from someone who was going to throw them away!

I'm cross hatching in the big blue cross stitching and just a gentle echo around the flowers.

I'll echo the whole thing and hearts on the sashing in matching blue thread which I don't have yet.

Finally finished

Finally got it finished!

Couldn't get it out to photograph it outside today because it has been raining a little!!!!!!

(That's big news in these parts.)

Yesterday was the 61st day of 100+ degrees temps here in Oklahoma City.

A cold front came through last night and right now it is  70 degrees and overcast.
