This has to be my favorite block so far
on this quilt:
I have to admit that yesterday I was nervous about quilting this quilt because I know CeCe doesn't like really close quilting, and when I start getting creative and putting in details on a project like this one, I start getting close.
But then again, I told myself, "she said she wants a quilt with my quilting on it, so loosen up and give her what she is expecting. It will be soft and cuddly like she likes, not the stiff over quilted art quilts that are not meant to be slept under that she doesn't like. So get on with it, Mary Ann and do your magic."
That said, I got on with it
and put feathers on the turkey, Oh, and check out his
ugly little feet.
Then went on to the lemonade and quit worrying about the blue thread (I hardy ever change thread, especially on a fun quilt like this one), and just relaxed and quit stressing over every little thing.
It's not that I didn't like what I did yesterday,
but I spent so much time over analyzing everything that I felt like things just didn't flow very well, inside my head.
(The quilting was up to snuff, but the process was bumpy.)
Anyway, I'm excited about the quilt, I'm in the zone and that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Happy quilting!
