My brother's quilt

Last Saturday night when I went to SEAM
(Sewing Eating And a Movie) night
at Quilters Corner I managed to get all the rest of the blocks made and put up on the design wall to decide how to place them in the quilt.
Did I take a picture of it?
Of course not!
Did I think about it?
Yes!
Did I have my camera?
Yes!
Am I a dumb a**?
Most definitely!!

I carefully took the blocks off the design wall,
pinning them together in rows so I can put them together in a twosy foursy type configuration, rather than the usual row by row way.

The above is the extent of my design wall at home.
Great for my foursy but not much else.
This next pic is how I organize a lot of my piecing.
If you don't recognize it, it is a pants hanger hanging on a towel rack!

For this particular application I put the top foursy on the top rung, the next foursy on the next rung and so on.

It'a also great for organizing strips and doesn't cost an arm and a leg at discount stores.
I only have one because I'm really, really cheap, but you can have many if you need them.

Happy quilting!

  1. Hee hee. I do that all the time too: after the fact, I always tell myself, "Well, I just didn't want waste time taking pictures when I could be sewing."
